12-13th July 2003, 15m SSB station of GB5HQ.
Phillimore Garden Centre, Cambridge Road, Melbourn, Royston, Herts. NGR TL 393 461.
In 2003 we were invited to run the 15m SSB station of GB5HQ in the IARU HF Championship, and we were joined by Steve G4JVG.
We used the same site that we'd first used in IOTA in 2001. The station was very simple, just the 15m monobander, my FT1000MP, linear and a mobile phone was all we needed.
We used the mobile phone to get GPRS internet access to the GB5HQ log server in Martlesham.
