On 15th November 2007 I helped Dave G3UEG install an Optibeam OB11-3 yagi.

Dave had pre-assembled the beam on the three boom sub-sections.

We laid them out on the ground and added the 20m end sections.

Then fitted the three boom sections together.

The boom support was then added.

The Prositel rotator with rain guard to protect it when stored on its side.

Dave calibrates the rotator.

The tower ready for the antenna.

We put the antenna on the tower.

Then luff it up to vertical.

Look at that!

What a beautiful sight!

Stunning, German quality.

We check it with the antenna analyser.

Spot on!

Dave takes some notes.

Through the trees.

At 60ft.

Dave lowers the Titanex 80m vertical to make an adjustment.

We measure it with my N2PK VNA. We observe the reduction in bandwidth when fitting a unun.

An aluminium masterpiece.

Ready to work the world.
